Parish Council Election

An Election is to be held of Seven Parish Councillors for Doddiscombsleigh Parish Council on 4 May 2023.

Nomination papers for the Parish Council Elections may be obtained from the Returning Officer or from the Clerk.  

Nomination papers must be delivered by hand to the Returning Officer, Main Reception, Forde House, Brunel Road, Newton Abbot, TQ12 4XX from Monday 20 March 2023, but no later than by 4:00 pm on Tuesday 4 April 2023. Nominations can be delivered Monday and Tuesday between 9:30 am and 4:00 pm; Wednesday between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm; Thursday and Friday between 9:30 am and 4:00 pm.

Planning Application Consultations

The Planning Authority has a new system and a substantial backlog. Documents may be uploaded later to cases and consultation periods start later as well. Please check their website for regular updates.

  • Doddiscombsleigh Parish Council is looking for volunteers to repair potholes in the village. If there are enough volunteers, the Parish Council will participate in Devon County Council's Road Warden Scheme. Tarmac, tools and safety training will be provided by Devon County Council. If you would like to be a volunteer, please contact the Clerk at
